Marianna

“It’s been in the news lately,” Jack began … “What with that show Big Love, and a presidential candidate who is a Mormon….  So, who would you choose to be a second wife for us?”

Kristie thinks about this for a minute and suggests their little mini poodle might make a good second.  But she knows Jack is in the midst of  a fantasy of some sort. She knows he would like her to suggest Bebe or any other number of sexy beautiful women they both knew.  But she knows exactly who she would choose to share her man with if that was necessary –  Marianna.

Marianna.  In some other life she might have been a nun or a Bohemian traveling Europe on a permanent basis… or a lesbian.  Kristie admired Marianna more than any woman she had ever met in her life.  Marianna knew facts and stories about almost every subject, and if she didn’t know she would find out and tell you later.

She had the skin texture and muscles of a man who worked outside everyday, but beneath her clothes she was soft and white with no stretch marks since she had never had children and always kept her weight reasonable.  She had a womanly figure with broad hips and luscious plump breasts that were perfectly shaped and still attentive.

On any given day she might wear a flowered print dress with a starched white lace collar and a pair of dressy flats or a pair of men’s jeans,  a plaid work shirt, and boots. She wasn’t afraid of work.  She loved her books and research, but she also loved caring for the cattle that roamed her property along with the wild turkeys that came into her front yard for their daily hand-outs.  She also fed the hummingbirds who were so fearless of her that they would actually venture into the house where she kept a bird feeder hanging for her amusement just inside an open window.

The way Kristie figured it was that she loved Marianna so much that she wouldn’t mind if Jack bedded her.  She would love to have her as a sister wife.  They could do projects together: art, sewing, cooking, gardening… and plus Jack would have someone who could help him like a man with the extra heavy chores around the place.  It would be perfect!

“Would you like a cuppa?” Marianna would ask.  And she would know exactly how you take your tea and when to serve it.  That one phrase kept Kristie searching for tea sets until she had collected 24 uniquely flowered patterns with gold accents.

Jack was not appreciative, but his question kept her pondering about Marianna.
