I just can’t think about anything else. Not sex or drugs or three ways… Politics! That’s all I can do. Eat, breathe, sleep politics. 24/7 news, watch every channel: PBS, CNN, Current, MSNBC, FOX… even local stations. What for? I’m embroiled, I’m frothing, I can’t remove myself from it.
I keep all the TV’s in the house tuned to different stations so as I make my way through the chores of making beds, doing dishes, laundry, and such, I do not miss a beat. I know the stats, the exit polls, the projections, and the spin of each side. Like a trained debate surrogate, I am able to form the arguments to argue with myself, if necessary.
I print out a worksheet, attach it to a clip board, and get ready for the results to come it. Bam! The Associated Press is making their first projection. Bam! UPI is making an announcement. Bam! Here comes Reuters with still another prediction….
After years of campaigning, billions of dollars of advertisements, hundreds of thousands hours spent working on the campaigns… it all gets down to a couple of hours of Wolfe and John demonstrating their prowess in news reporting. Wolfe is kind of monotonous, but John is the KING of power point presentation.
Still, even after it is all over, I find myself wanting more. More! More information! I watch all the news stations the next day following the spin on all sides. Wow! What a night! What a ride! I love it! #politics

Postscript: Nothing has changed. I’m still embroiled! Passionate! Love the set up, the build up, the final vote! United States of America! Isn’t it great?!
