To Be or Not to Be

She wears a simple green Henley cotton tunic – unbuttoned, no bra, no panties.  Her hair is long golden honey  in a mess around her face and shoulders, hanging loose down the middle of her back.  She wears no make-up – she doesn’t need it – she is naturally beautiful, rounded body, of a certain age.

She applies a light floral scent to all the points she has been referenced to from a very early age: behind the ear, at the nape of the neck, in the folds of each arm, behind the knees, and the inside of her ankles.  No matter where he kisses her, he will smell it wanting more, seeking her scent in the air around her.

She wears some shell necklaces and a strand of Mardi Gras beads although it is not the season for Mardi Gras, the beads match her outfit and she likes them.  All of the gold rings he has ever given her sparkle their multi-colored magic on each finger.  Barefoot and stoned after the morning chores, she sits waiting for her lover to come seeking her.

Today she will be beautiful she decides.  She sits casually half sprawling on the couch.  “Today I will be an adornment,” she says aloud.  “Today I will adorn the bed, or the chair, or the couch.  That is my goal for the day:  To Be an Adornment.  To Be Beautiful for you, my love.”
